¡Atrevete!

Alek Boyd has done a fantastic job covering the Rosales campaign. With so much disinformation floating around, with so much FUD, with false polls paid by the government, the only reality one can trust are the hundreds of pictures taken at the various rallies. For good reason a picture is worth a thousand words and even more so when the government is bent on telling lie after lie.

MamaMarcha

Alek Boyd has excellent coverage of this grand march at V Crisis and the full set of images can be seen at alekboyd's Public Gallery ยป Rosales' closing rally in Caracas, Venezuela

Daniel Duquenal also has excellent coverage and pictures at Avalancha Tricolor: the photo report of Venezuela's biggest meeting ever

The other pictures were emailed to me by a friend.

Avalanche IV

Maracay in the central state of Aragua is considered a Chavez stronghold. Maracay is the home of important military installations including the air-base at Palo Negro. One of our previous dictators, Juan Vicente Gomez, moved the capital to Maracay where he felt more comfortable than in Caracas.

The image above shows the strong showing Rosales has in this important city. To me, at least, the Rosales campaign photos tell a very different story from the Chavez backed polls.

Avalanch III

These pictures by Alex Boyd speak volumes, they cover the country from East (Sucre) to West (Zulia), from North (Carabobo) to Center (Guárico) and Los Andes (Mérida).

There can no longer be any doubt that Manuel Rosales has the backing of a very large majority of Venezuelans who want a change for the better, Venezuelans who are tired of the divisive rhetoric, who are tired of cowtowing* to Cuba and to Fidel, who are tired of our wealth being spread to the four winds, who are tired of being excluded, who don't want an eighth star on our flag, who don't want to wear red T-shirts, who want security, and jobs. In a word, Venezuelans who want to get rid of Chávez for good.

Thank you Alex Boyd for the great job you are doing, for the great pictorial coverage you are providing.
